THE ROLE - MUSIC TEACHER As a Music Teacher at this high-achieving school you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students. The successful Music Teacher will be required to plan and deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons that captivate the attention of the high-achieving and well behaved students at the school. The Music department is staffed by a dedicated team of well-qualified and specialist teachers. The Head of Department has overall responsibility for all key stages and for the vision and ethos of the department, for curriculum development and staff development needs. The Music department offer a range of extra-curricular activities, including lunchtime and after school Performing Arts clubs and a range of Music workshops. TEACHER SPECIFICATION The Education Network is looking for Music Teachers who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS or who are currently completing their Initial Teacher Training within a Music based discipline. This position is open to Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT) or experienced Music teachers. You will be a Music Teacher with a proven track record of raising attainment levels across the 11-16 age range. Your subject knowledge for Music will be extremely strong and you will have the ability to stretch academically gifted students. You will be a Music Teacher with a positive outlook, a dedicated and hard-working attitude and someone who is happy to get involved with extra-curricular activities at the school.
