We are currently looking for a Head of Payments & Income to join our team based at the Bower House office in Oldham. Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, the successful candidate will ensure the effective and efficient management and delivery on a day to day basis of both the  income processing activity and the accounts payable processes in line with agreed service level agreements and processes. Key Responsibilities include: • Managing the financial operations teams ensuring financial integrity is maintained. • Ensuring that effective and efficient management and delivery of income processing and transactional processing within agreed service level agreements and standards. • Ensuring that operating systems and procedures are adhered to, developed and improved to ensure the effective delivery of services across Guinness developing key KPI’s to manage performance. • Ensuring that effective internal controls are operated for transactional processing including being responsible for accurate and timely reconciliations of key control accounts and delivering to agreed standards. • Contributing to projects to deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of financial operations. • Ensuring specialist knowledge of current legislation is up to date through ongoing training and use of professional advisors. • Leading and developing a motivated team ensuring employee engagement. Essential: • Experience of managing a team in a large and complex organisation. • Proven customer service experience. • Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines. • Excellent oral and written communications. • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Able to demonstrate Guinness behavioural competencies Desirable: • Experience in reconciliations. • Experience of using Oracle Financials or equivalent finance system. • Experience of project management. • Proven knowledge of rent accounting, housing and housing benefit regulations and legislation Qualifications (desirable): • Qualified accountant and/or relevant professional qualification.
