Aufgabenbereich:

HellermannTyton are one of the leading cable management manufacturers of products for fastening, fixing, identifying and protecting cables and their connecting components. Our client develop pioneering systems in the field of data and network technology, their industry is second to none. Reporting to the Engineering Team leader, the successful candidate will have the professional and technical experience to improve and develop products, production processes, equipment and working methods. They will be expected to initiate and drive projects through to successful introduction and carry out ongoing process improvements as necessary. This role will also provide technical support to other sites within the HellermannTyton Group. Duties will include; · Work with product management to support new product introduction. · Be responsible for all aspects of a product development lifecycle from concept design through prototyping & trials to customer approval. · Be able to project manage new machinery, plant and tooling requirements and provide justifications for procurement across the site. · Prepare documentation such as work specifications, SOP’s and timings to ensure successful transfer to production. · Co-ordinate changes and improvements with production leadership and ensure necessary operating procedures and training documentation is updated accordingly. · Project manage process improvements. · Identify and explore novel solutions for new production methods. Develop and introduce new machinery to enhance current processes. · Provide engineering solutions to production and process problems. · To play an active role in process improvement and the implementation of change. · Provide adhoc support within the business, towards ensuring company objectives are achieved. Training, Experience, Education & Characteristics required · Engineering degree or recognised engineering qualification essential. · Full membership of relevant professional body. · A proven track record in product design, project management and production process improvements in a factory environment. · Competent in the use of AutoCad and Solidworks. · Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages such as word, excel, project and outlook. · Experience of lean tools, six sigma or other problem solving techniques. · Be able to produce engineering drawings to meet BS8888. · Experience of production management systems. · Full driving licence.
