ZAKRES PRACY:

Vacancy Description This vacancy is within our Aggregates business and will focus on: • geotechnical awareness • mineral extraction methodology such as drilling and blasting • mobile plant and equipment operation • a range of processing activities • plant maintenance • logistics Your first year will be a generic period of development and include the principles of minerals extraction and their properties along with product quality and testing, Health, Safety and Environmental awareness and compliance. By the Third Year of your Apprenticeship you will, having acquired a range of managerial attributes, be expected to demonstrate this knowledge and skill within a Supervisory position. You will be working towards a Foundation Degree in Mineral Products Technology at the University of Derby, mixing academic study and practical hands on experience with a structured training plan to develop you both personally and professionally. The college programme has a specific Pathway to cater for the Aggregates sector and the apprentices working within this discipline. SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES REQUIRED • Knowledge of the construction and infrastructure materials industries (highly desirable) • Good technical ability evidenced by a high standard of Maths and/or Science qualifications • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Good standard of English Language to be able to write and interpret reports • Desire to work in our industry in a technical role (essential) • Drive and determination to succeed • Independent minded • Team player • Eligibility to work permanently in the UK Company Description Aggregate Industries are a major player in the production and supply of construction and infrastructure materials to the UK and European markets.
