Junior Tax Assistant Location: London Salary: Competitive Who we are Frank Hirth plc was founded in 1975 with the aim of providing a dual tax service for UK and US citizens and businesses. Since then we have grown significantly, and are now in the Accountancy Age Top 30 Firms in the UK – large enough to offer you a rewarding and challenging career and small enough to give you the chance to make a real contribution to our success. We welcome applications from anyone looking for a rewarding career and a place on a scheme which has already been the entry route for several of our leading lights. You can find out more about who we are and what we do at, and hear from previous Tax Assistants on our website. What we offer We believe our people are our biggest asset and we are committed to making an ongoing investment in the development of all our staff. During your first few weeks as a Tax Assistant you will be provided with full-time intensive training and inductions. You will then join your practice group to start applying this knowledge to client work whilst continuing your development via formal training sessions and on-the-job learning. You will also receive support to study for professional qualifications, starting with the Enrolled Agent before progressing to the ATT and the CTA – receiving bonus payments when you pass! Our Tax Assistant roles are carefully structured entry-level opportunities which provide exposure to a broad range of work within both UK and US tax. You will be based within one of our key business groups to process a variety of tax returns and develop the skills to calculate liabilities and advise clients on tax payments. During your second and third years you will also receive the opportunity to rotate to work with other teams, gaining practical experience in different areas of tax. What you bring At Frank Hirth we have a diverse workforce with two very important things in common: we have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to be the best.
