An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounting & Reporting Manager to join our Managed Services Centre. In this role you will assist with the delivery of Statutory, Regulatory and Management reporting requirements for a diverse range of FS clients. This opportunity will enable you to play a key role in helping clients to comply with their increasingly complex reporting requirements and allow you to develop your own reporting knowledge within a new and expanding team. Responsibilities of an Accounting & Reporting Manager * Lead the Accounting & Reporting team and where required provide assistance to junior team members to resolve technical and other accounting issues * Review and approve reports supplied to customers * Liaise with, and provide reports to, customers in accordance with agreed timeframes of delivery * Manage and lead the development and implementation of accounting and reporting solutions and improve their effectiveness * Implement and ensure timely compliance with new or revised accounting standards and regulatory change such as Solvency II and CRD IV * Provide IFRS and UK GAAP interpretation and be able to document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner * Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management team * Create, implement and maintain comprehensive accounting policy and procedure documentation to improve clarity and consistency of reporting * Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements Skills and Experience you’ll need as an Accounting & Reporting Manager * ACA / CA /ACCA qualified or equivalent (preferably first time passes) * Significant experience of IFRS, UK GAAP and/or US GAAP gained within the reporting arena * Exposure to financial reporting and/or regulatory reporting (e.g. capital or liquidity reporting) * Technically sound with an understanding and appreciation of recent accounting developments * Strong understanding of financial and / or regulatory reporting process and controls * Team management and leadership skills * Ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments * Assertive and proactive approach to the delivery / implementation of client engagements * Ability to network effectively within large organisations and build relationships with individuals and clients * Strong interpersonal skills: written, presentation and influencing * A quick learner with analytical capability and attention to detail * Experience of MSNav would be beneficial * Confident in the use of Microsoft Office and other desktop applications Who we are EY is committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.
