Guildford College is looking for an Assessor in Electrical Installation to conduct practical assessments of learners within the workplace. This role is a Full Time position. Due to the nature of this role you must be willing to operate flexible working hours, have a full driving licence and access to a car to visit students on placement.   The main responsibilities in this role are:   * Monitor/track/expedite learners progress and report any concerns to the appropriate programme IQA/ Curriculum Leader. * Assess the underpinning knowledge requirements of the qualification, within the work place. * Assess learners at induction and identify any transferable skills needs, signposting to the appropriate service as required. * Carry out the administration for the above, maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with the appropriate programme IQA/SV/College requirements. * Attend meetings as required by the programme IQA/SV or Curriculum Leader  * Attend relevant training to maintain current vocational competence and continuing professional development as identified by the Curriculum Leader /College. * Industry experience and expertise in the relevant vocational area   To be considered for this role you will need:   * Recent relevant occupational experience within industry and competence within the vocational area  * Industry qualifications  * An Assessor s award, e.g. A1, A2, V1 or equivalent  * Health and Safety qualification or be prepared to work towards one * Excellent interpersonal, verbal  and written communication, skills  * Highly organised, able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines  * Ability to relate well to staff, students and employers * Proficiency in IT and reporting skills * Accuracy, precision, an eye for detail and problem solving skills   To be successful in this role you will have good organisation skills, be a team player, with ability to work with others and also to work independently. You should have a flexible approach to education and training and the ability to adapt quickly to new initiatives.   You should be articulate and able to communicate professionally with colleagues at all levels, both internally and externally, and have strong links with industry specialists.
