About The Role To coach, mentor and assess groups of young adults towards the achievement of a vocational Apprenticeship programme. Work with the Team Leader to meet the key business strategies and objectives. To plan and complete assessments for learners engaged on Apprenticeships for ICT Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. To assess all components of the above framework for a caseload of learners. To retain learners engaged on the programme and manage their learning and achievement in line with the targets and objectives agreed in their Individual Learning Plan. To complete regular, formal progress reviews with learners and their employers. To complete internal and external quality assurance activities, where required. About The Person Work with the Team Leader / IQA to achieve agreed volumes of learner achievement in line with the business strategy and plans. Carry out high quality mentoring and coaching with apprentices to ensure City and Guilds units are completed within agreed timelines. To be willing to travel and complete assessment of all related City and Guilds assignments. Liaise with technical skills tutors to ensure all Apprentices have the required skills and knowledge to achieve the technical components of frameworks. Work with internal and external partners to ensure that agreed quality standards are met. Undertake additional projects and activities to meet the needs of the Apprenticeship team and learners as required. Ensure that programmes are delivered in accordance with the organisations Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies. Your Skills & Experience A Degree (or equivalent), Higher Education Qualification in ICT or significant industry experience in areas to be assessed is essential Willingness to gain Assessor Award within 3 months of commencing employment GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English at Grade C or above Good knowledge of Government funded Apprenticeship programmes is desirable Knowledge of the ICT Apprenticeship frameworks is desirable Knowledge of business requirements, processes and methodologies is essential CAVA / A1 assessor award (not essential) ICT Technical Software Development and Programming skills Business and Administration skills Excellent communication skills Ability to identify individual learner needs Ability to provide feedback in a way that motivates individual learners Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how these impact on the assessment process Ability to identify and help learners to overcome potential barriers to progress and achievement This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/JobSeeking/ICT-Systems-and-Networking-Assessor_job63269495.
