NÁPLŇ PRÁCE:

Hays Education are delighted to be working alongside a number of specialist SEN settings across Gloucestershire, including in central Gloucester. These settings include EBD schools, and Alternative Education providers KS1-4. Supply SEN Teachers are required in Gloucester to provide cover for training, sickness and also to provide additional staffing if there are fluctuating numbers where students are on short-term reintegration plans. As such the work may vary from daily supply to long-term placements of 4 weeks or longer where continuity and stability is paramount. The SEN varies and will include EBD, ASD, school phobics, dis-affected students, LAC as well as Learning Difficulties. You will be building relationships with the students, working either 1:1 or teaching small groups and helping them to access the curriculum. To be successful for this exciting SEN teaching role in Gloucester, you will have experience of working with students with SEN and as such will have excellent behaviour management skills and be able to engage and teach a wide range of abilities within key stages. You will adapt and adjust the curriculum using creative and resourceful means, encouraging and supporting students in achieving and accessing their education to the very best of their ability. This will include having high standards and the ability to challenge and motivate students. An understanding of working alongside multi-agencies and individualised plans for students is highly desirable although not essential. Due to the creative and adaptive nature of the role you will have the ability to teach cross-curriculum although a specialist subject area is desirable. In addition any skills such as Outdoor Education, Music, Drama, Art, Dance would be beneficial, as well as any SEN specific training.
