Traineeships help unlock your great potential and give you the work preparation training, Maths and English and work experience needed to get an Apprenticeship or other job. This Traineeships Opportunity is unwaged.   * Barista training (This would incorporate Starbucks brand training as well as JLA’s own artisan coffee) * Customer service * Health and safety ( Including food safety also) * Kitchen Training (How the kitchen works, prepping food, working to order and working to spec sheets)  * Brand training within the two brands on site Starbucks and Burger King * Admin assistance and cash office (including using systems to get figures and collate, forecasting etc) * Production Kitchen ( How the production runs on site again working to specs)     Additional Detail   Important Other Information Are you eligible? 1. Are you aged 16 to 18 and qualified below Level 3 (A level)?   This Traineeship is an education and training programme with work experience that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core are work preparation training, English and Maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement.   HOURS OF WORK Days in training centre 4 days per week 9.30 -3.45.  Sessions include support with maths and English for those who did not achieve a C grade GCSE , work skills including CV writing, careers advice and guidance, job search and  matching to  apprenticeships and employment opportunities In Liverpool John Lennon Airport you will be working 5 days per work on placement for 7 hours per day.   SECURITY CHECKS PRIOR TO PLACEMENT • A basic criminal record check – funded and processed by LJLA  • A copy of photographic ID • Proof of address (usually a letter) – no older than 3 months old. 5 year reference history (education or employment) with no gaps longer than 28 days. If there are any gaps in these references you must be able to provide a standard character reference to cover this period stating what you were doing during this period e.g. period between school and college.   Priority will be given to South Liverpool residents in L19 or L24.   Reality Check   This opportunity is only available to 16-18 year olds living in Speke and the immediate areas.
