JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client, a market leading, global, interconnect specialist. Poised for further growth, and investment, they are now seeking to recruit an Assembly Cell Leader who will help deliver unrivalled levels of excellence. The successful applicant will be responsible for taking full responsibility for the department, managing the day to day activities and supporting initiatives required by the department Team Leader that ensure KPI targets are maintained. They will also take an active role in the continuous improvement of the department. Key Responsibilities include: * Contributing to the attainment of 100 on:time delivery to customers, both internal and external, including hands on activities and the management of sub and final assembly orders * Efficient kitting and dispatch/book through of all jobs to the next department * Populating the required information on Day boards, and meeting the daily productivity and production targets * Induction and training of employees, including the maintenance of staff training records within the department Essential Qualities Include: * Experience working within a Cell / Team Leader role, ideally within a manufacturing assembly environment * Demonstrable experience of leading and implementing continuous improvement activities, with a clear understanding of Lean tools and associated benefits * Knowledge and understanding of assembly processes and equipment is required, such as Bond, cure, steak, crimp, wire, cut, solder, measure, etc. * Knowledge of inspection with manual equipment, such as Micrometer, Vernier, and shadow projector. * Ability to read engineering drawings and build instructions. * Clear and consistent communication and decision making skills. Hours: * Monday to Thursday 8am : 4.30pm and Friday 8am : 1.30pm
