JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key responsibilities: ? Manage and motivate a team of 4 credit controllers based in Wolverhampton. ? Involvement in the day to day collection of debt and dealing with the major overdue debts and escalation process. ? Assist the business in the achievement of cash and debt KPI s. ? Ensure debt reporting is accurate, timely and relevant developing reporting where necessary. ? Attend weekly debt review meetings with senior finance and commercial personnel. ? Support Group initiatives that relate to credit management working with the Group Credit Manager. ? Occasional visits to client premises to resolve recurrent late payment issues. ? Develop, maintain and police the company credit management policy ? Monitor customer credit status of existing customers and vet credit rating of new customers. ? Ensure Sales Ledger is accurate and kept up to date and manage relationship with outsourced accounting and reporting support Job Requirements Essential criteria: ? Previous experience of managing a credit control function ? Professional and disciplined approach ? Consistently demonstrates leadership and commitment ? Capable of managing a team working to deadlines and targets ? Confident in internal and external interactions ? Strong oral and written communication skills ? Strong organisational and prioritisation skills ? Ability to manage demands appropriately ? Influencing skills - externally with clients internally with general managers, account teams and senior executives ? Graduate level education or equivalent ? Experience of using Excel Desirable criteria: ? Experience of using SAP ? Experience of using OnGuard (credit management system) ?
