About The Role As Cyber Tutor our role will involve a blend of teaching, practical exercises and the development of new and related course materials. The programme involves a wide range of technical skills across Information Security, Networking and core IT infrastructure. Working within the foundation degree programme you will enjoy taking responsibility for the progression and achievement of our ambitious Higher Apprentices Group all working for a single employer. About The Person Take overall responsibility for the groups of Higher Apprentices. Deliver high quality teaching and learning to individuals and groups, as required Carry out high quality mentoring and coaching Contribute to improvements to the Scheme of Work, Lesson Plans, teaching and learning materials and resources to meet the qualification requirements. Be the subject matter lead on the development of the work-based degree programme for higher apprentices following graduation from the programme. Complete regular, meaningful and accurate Learner Reviews, linking with the Individual Learning Plan and the Learner Portfolio, to ensure the learner fully understands achievements, objectives and where they are within the Framework. Work with internal and external partners to ensure the agreed quality standards are met. Work effectively with the internal and external Assessors and Verifiers to ensure the learners successfully complete their full apprenticeship framework by their planned achievement date Ensure that programme is delivered in accordance with the organisations Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies. Your Skills & Experience Experience of at least two of the following technical areas, ideally from employment in the IT sector or an IT role: Networking and Network Security, &/or thorough knowledge of Operating Systems, &/or Cyber Security (Information Assurance is desirable), &/or Risk Assessment 7/or Digital Forensics &/or Incident Response &/or Penetration Testing Recognised IT qualifications covering the skill sets listed above Previous experience of working with 16 to 21 year olds in Apprenticeships or with Undergraduate students in an HE environment. A recognised teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieving at least a Diploma in Teaching in the Livelong Learning Sector An up-to-date appreciation of the range of cyber threats and latest thinking on mitigating risks. Knowledge of Apprenticeships and work-based learning, or knowledge of Higher Education.
