JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is an opportunity to join a c GBP160 million business which supplies cakes and desserts to service the own brand of the major retailers. There are two sites in the North West at Bolton and Oldham. The Oldham site produces high end cake products and mainstream desserts supplying mostly Marks and Spencers. The Bolton site produces commodity based products making slab cakes, pies and cakes for every major retailer. It is a profitable business with a clear commercial strategy and strong relationship with its customers through its energy, style and commitment to partner relationships and quality. Bolton has a vacancy in the Logistics Department for a Dispatch Manager who will be responsible for the organisation and storage of goods to ensure maximum stock availability from production areas and off:site storage to customers, always ensuring compliance with food safety standards, quality management systems, customer technical standards and above all health and safety standards. This is a permanent position. Job Accountabilities: : Manage your team to achieve your job purpose as above. : Always operate within Health and Safety regulations, taking care of yourself, others and equipment. : Ensure customer service levels, internal and external, are achieved. : Achieve KPIs for labour, storage costs and adherence to budget. : Communicate effectively with all departments and within your team. : Manage off:site storage locations and liaise with suppliers and transport contractors : Specification and provision of suitable MHE Skills/Experience Required: : IT skills including Excel, SAP, RFID : Level 3 Food Safety Supervision : IOSH Managing Safely : Knowledge of MHE regulations : Thorough and systematic approach to work with the adaptability to deal with the demands of a fast paced manufacturing environment. : Tenacious with a can do attitude. : Excellent time management, planning and decision making skills.
