JOB DESCRIPTION:

Electrical Switchgear Estimator Based in Somerset Competitive salary We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Switchgear Estimator within an expanding company in the Somerset area. Electrical Estimator Industrial sector knowledge required The Role: Scope of work covers various industrial industries across the UK Preparation of detailed take-offs and measurement from tender documents and project evaluations Design proposals, examine tender documentation and advise of alternative solutions or value engineering options Take an enquiry or tender package and work it up into a detailed quotation using bespoke estimation systems Liaise with other departments for gathering data required for the compilation of tenders Undertake the technical appraisal of suppliers and sub-contractors Flexible with the ability to add value to this expanding company The Ideal Candidate will have:- Minimum of City & Guilds or ONC level of education Have a good understanding of the electrical and/or switchgear Industry Proven working knowledge of bespoke electrical estimating systems Self-motivated Work well under pressure Meet tight deadlines to return quotations Work accurately and effectively with minimal supervision BoMs knowledge Supplier contact Can communicate at all levels Computer literate / IT skills as required to carry out job Organise own workload Prioritise work and deliver on time Contribute to the day-to-day smooth running of the unit or process Able to maintain accurate and timely records as required by the role Identify and know how to solve every day job-based problems in liaison with management Able to establish a rapport with service users as necessary e.g. clients, suppliers Understand the needs of others and able to respond accordingly Able to communicate factual information politely and courteously Has everyday spoken skills e.g. telephone and face-to-face conversations Has advanced written and numeric skills appropriate to the job CAD working knowledge would be desirable but not essential for this position. anew South West is acting as an employment agency This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/JobSeeking/Electrical-Switchgear-Estimator_job63166852
