JOB DESCRIPTION:

Langley Search & Selection is pleased to partner with the Welsh Government Infrastructure Delivery Division to appoint a key senior Procurement position. Head of Procurement, Infrastructure Delivery Division (Executive Band 2 A£46,550 - A£55,500) Location: Flexible, with the option to work from Cardiff or Treforest The Infrastructure Delivery Division plays a key role in the delivery of the responsibilities and obligations of the Transport Department. The Division includes around 50 staff and is responsible for developing and delivery of major capital infrastructure projects to support the WG agenda for growth and jobs. The Division has a budget of around A£125 million per annum The Contracts and Procurement Branch sits within the Division but provides contract and procurement support to the whole of Transport and the wider ES&T Departments. The Head of Contract and Procurement leads this Branch providing advice on best practice procurement methods, forms of contract and contract dispute resolution. The Branch has established itself as a source of best practice construction procurement within Wales and beyond. The post holder will continue to develop best practice policies in these areas. Salary A starting salary within the stated pay ranges will be offered to the successful candidates based on their knowledge, skills and experience and performance at interview. This is a permanent position, although applications will be considered on a secondment or loan basis. This is a full time post however, applications will be considered from individuals who wish to work part-time or on a job share basis. Welsh language skills are not essential (but would be desirable) for this position.
