JOB DESCRIPTION:

Start date - September 2015 for 10 months, then may go permanent. Full time hours: 7:30am- 4:30pm. My Client is looking for a Site Supervisor for a New Build Residential Project to Start in September for a minimum for 10 months. The client intends to take on the candidate as permanent after 10 months providing contract wins. The ideal candidate will come from a joinery or building background. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Provide pre-construction input to meet all contractual requirements. · Support the Principal Contractor in the identification of the plant, equipment and materials required at any point during the site Project. · Ensure the management process relating to site labour and subcontract resources is followed in close liaison with the Principal Contractor to deliver the project to budget, programme and to contract requirements. · Overseeing and contributing to the Day to day operations of a New Build site. · To implement the companies Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Policies and Procedures - including overall management of the Site Safety File. · Provide the Principal contractor with weekly progress reports. · Provide immediate and early warnings to the Principal Contractor on problem issue and potential major over spends as soon as they occur. REQUIREMENTS: · The successful applicant must provide a track record of delivering New Build projects, on time and within budget, candidate must be able to provide sufficient references for similar projects. · Be able to demonstrate knowledge and practical application of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives and sub-contractors. · Must be up to date and have sound knowledge of the Building Regulations and CDM 2015 Regulations. · Hold a current CSCS. · Be Fire and First Aid Competent (training can be provided if necessary). · Must have NVQ or equivalent. · Computer literate.
