JOB DESCRIPTION:

Temporary Contract £9.34 per hour Our client is in need of a candidate to provide professional, appropriate, timely, and customer-focussed information, advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders. To support Student Services activities by participating in other tasks and cross-functional activities as required. You will be required to develop and maintain an exceptional breadth and depth of knowledge of company s related issues as they affect service users, and of various statutory and regulatory bodies associated with the service. Tact, diplomacy and sensitivity are a key element of this role as is the ability to remain calm under pressure and in challenging situations. Understanding the limits of their own expertise and identifying when a referral is required. You will need to provide a high level customer focus striking the right balance between providing support, advice and guidance whilst ensuring that at the same time students are kept aware of their responsibilities. Duties will include 1. Delivering frontline services information, advice and guidance through face-to-face, telephone, email and social media. This requires an exceptional and up to date understanding of the company, its functions, processes and procedures as they affect service users. 2. Dealing with sensitive and confidential issues within the frameworks of the Data Protection Act and any other professional and statutory guidelines 3. Advising on users rights and obligations, at all times working within the regulatory framework. 4. Advising users in on a variety of topics including, but not limited to: *Facilities and resources (including self-service technologies and facilities) *First line IT help *Student finance *Immigration 5. Working within the limits of own expertise, identifying when a referral is required and ensuring that referrals are managed in an appropriate and seamless manner.
