JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Warehouse Supervisor / Process Supervisor · £25,000-28,000 package · FMCG/ manufacturing · 12 month fixed-term contract · 08:30 am – 5:00 pm · Wigan · Immediate start THE COMPANY Our client is a leader in the manufacture and production of FMCG products in the UK, supplying branded goods to major retail outlets and employing over 300 staff in the North West. THE VACANCY We are currently seeking to recruit a temporary Warehouse Supervisor / Process Supervisor to assist with a significant project. The successful Warehouse Supervisor / Process Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of a warehouse team. Ensuring the smooth daily running of all aspects of the warehouse operation supporting the function in line with all company Health and Safety, Quality and standard working procedures. With a proactive approach to continuous improvement, the Warehouse Supervisor / Process Supervisor will work in close liaison with and report to the Warehouse Manager. Job Responsibilities:- The Warehouse Supervisor / Process Supervisor will: • Provide day to day support to Warehouse Manager on processes – starting from raw material intake through to receipt of finished product from production • Arrange material and stock transfers/shunts between the client, suppliers and customers sites • Ensures adherence to key health and safety policies within the department • Acting as a key liaison with other departments – Production and Planning • Co-ordinate resources – People and materials to ensure needs are met • Deputise for Warehouse Manager in his absence • Ensure accurate material stocks are maintained • Some office based tasks • Co-ordinate shunting between sites and co-packers Essential requirements:- The Warehouse Supervisor / Process Supervisor will have: •Strong communication skills both written and verbal •Numerate – comfortable working with numbers •Excellent organisational skills •Attention to detail •Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines •Ability to multi-task •Good decision making skills FLT experience •Practical experience of QAD (or similar MRP system) · PC Literate Desirable requirements:- •VNA experience  Experience In high bay racking environment. •Experience of scanners Other information:- •Core hours will 8.30 – 5.00 but flexibility required to meet business needs •Although some office tasks, role will be predominantly based in warehouse areas This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/JobSeeking/Warehouse-Supervisor---Wigan---25K-28K---URGENT_job63481465.
